The Business Hub
Vintage industrial meets the 1960’s in this new workplace concept in the heart of London. The brief was to create a relaxed, stylish business environment which would appeal to the new-age city entrepreneur and bring a relaxed industrial vibe to the square mile.
The interior planning of this 14-storey building was certainly up there with our most challenging tasks to date. Highlights include a new podium extension with poured concrete interactive staircase, a series of compact workshop-style offices, a business lounge with a variety of seating areas and meeting rooms as well as a bar, three roof terraces and over 80,000 square feet of open plan office space.
The overall look is stripped back and industrial with a nod to the 60’s roots of the building. Simple lighting schemes and subtle soundproofing make for a comfortable working environment. Bespoke joinery creates practical spaces and adds a high-end feel, furniture is warm and ‘lived in’ and the colour palette is consistent throughout – a balance of honest raw materials like concrete, steel and aged oak.
